Project Why was founded eight years ago with the mission of providing supplemental education for the children of Southeast Delhi's slums. It does so through a grassroots network of small educational programs which employ teachers that it finds and trains from within local communities. It has now begun a residential care and scholarship program called the Children's Chance, where bright kids living in dire circumstances wil be given a chance to excel and thrive.

We receive around 60,000 dollars a year, about evenly split between small donations and foundation grants from the Omprakash Foundation and ASHA.
