was established in 1999 to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of exclusively charitable institutions and projects by the provision of ptofessional creative services, graphic design, desktop publishing and

Design Aid is a registered charity (reg charity No. 1077235) providing
professional graphic design & related services to charitable
organisations, some of our key services are; Design for print, Design for web, Photography & illustration, Exhibition stands, Print Management.
The aim of re-establishing Design Aid is to make all these dervices available to good causes in order to achive this in a sustainable manner we will be inviting new volunteers onto the managment team and building projects that both satisfy Design Aid's Aim's and Objectives as well as generate the income required to cover Design Aid's costs.
Meanwhile our founders business "the Studio" continues to provide almost all Design Aid's requirements in the way of premisis, telephone, website etc.

Design Aid had two years without activity or resources - now re-launched April 2008 we hope to generate income from our activities again as well as funding for some smaller self sustaining projects that can be set up with funding of £5,000 or less.
Historically we have done very well - though Design Aid has not received any financial support from any outside funder - a creative use of volunteers and supporters we have enabled us in the past to provided over £750,000's worth of free creative services. In this period our only income was approx £2,000 from print management fees.
While the trustees are very proud of this achievment, it quickly became clear that without fees for work or income from funders and relying hugely on the activities of volunteers and the personal resources of the founders time money and premisis, Design Aid was not a sustanable set-up, hence the time out to review.

This is currently underwritten for us by "the Studio" Until our re-launch and ongoing efforts generate the sustainable income required. Design Aid plans to both meet these current costs in the near future and change the current volunteers/sub contractors management model to one of employees/volunteers.
