Our mission is to train and provide infrastructure to young adults in rural areas of developing countries helping them to become effective business entrepreneurs, community leaders and global citizens.

WCK invests in young people and communities by developing and supporting unique and innovative programs and is taking important steps toward linking communities to new technologies, entrepreneurial skills and environmental awareness. The main objective of our past and current projects has been to train and educate communities in the use of renewable energy and information communication technologies and then to use these new tools in enterprise and community development. This structured training has included capacity building of local communities on natural resources use and management, and equipping youth with leadership skills and respect for the environment through exchange programs.

World Corps, a nonprofit, non-governmental organization founded in 1998 by colleagues from six nations and headquartered in Seattle, Washington, USA had projects running in India, Kenya, Philippines, Brazil, and Mexico until it closed its doors as a US based NGO. Projects are still running in Kenya, India and Mexico but as independent entities in their respective countries.

World Corps – Kenya is a non-profit making organization founded in 2001 and officially registered in January of 2003, because of its concern about poverty, particularly the lack of access to energy, information and economic opportunities in rural areas of developing countries.
